The main published data is the phase 2 obesity trial from (NEJM, 2023). Adults with obesity, no diabetes, randomised across doses up to 12 mg weekly. At 48 weeks the highest dose group lost around 24% of body weight on average, with no clear plateau in the curve by trial end, which is what drew most of the attention. Placebo was roughly 2%. A separate phase 2 arm in type 2 diabetes showed smaller weight loss, around 17%, alongside HbA1c reductions.
